Kit Hevron Mahoney
Kit Hevron Mahoney has a style that has been evolving from her early years as a representational pastel artist to the current brush and palette knife oil paintings that have elements of both abstraction and realism. In addition to her favorite floral and landscape subjects, the latest series has been images of reflections that evoke a sense of peace and mystery at the same time.
Kit has been showing nationwide in solo and group exhibitions for over 20 years and her work has been included in the 2010 Creative Capitol Metro Denver Show, Denver International Airport, the Gilcrease Musuem’s American Art in Miniature Invitational, Oil Painters of America and has won awards in the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society. Her work is in both private and corporate collections including the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs and McGraw Hill Publishers in Dayton, Ohio and the private collection of actor Jack Nicholson.
“It has been such a gratifying journey to evolve as an artist for so many years with yet so many ideas to put to canvas”.
