S. Mark Thompson

Golden, Colorado

Born in Denver, S. Mark Thompson is a fifth generation Coloradoan. After graduating from Colorado State University, he worked toward his Masters at the University of Northern Colorado then taught for ten years before devoting himself full time to art in 1981. Working in the mediums of egg tempera and etching, Mark has received numerous awards from exhibitions, including the American Artists Professional League, the Kinckerbocker Artists, the Salmagundi Club, the Allied Artists of America and the Colorado Governor’s Invitational and has taught at the Denver Art Students League since its inception in 1987.
